Dr. Miner is the Medical Director of the outpatient catastrophic rehab and pain clinic: South County Pain and Rehab in Gilroy California. A double graduate of Stanford University and the postgraduate Stanford School of Medicine, she started her practice in rehabilitation medicine in 1993. Her experience includes acute inpatient, outpatient and long term rehabilitation for catastrophically injured persons.

 

Dr. Miner is a maintenance-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, is Subspecialty Board Certified in Spinal Cord Medicine, in Brain Injury Medicine, and in Pain Medicine through the American Board of PM&R, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine, and is a Qualified Medical Examiner / Agreed Medical Evaluator for the state of California.

 

Since 2009 she has been a Catastrophic Medical Director for Paradigm Outcomes that manages complex cases across the country in SCI, TBI and multi trauma. She has been the Medical Director for Learning Services Post-Acute Neuro-Rehab Facility for TBI/SCI since 2007, and Rehab/Medical Director for Care Meridian Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Facility for SCI/TBI/Multi-trauma since 2000. She has been involved in interdisciplinary Functional Restoration Programs and facilitated multi-disciplinary outpatient pain programs for chronic pain patients. She consistently serves as an expert medical-legal witness for catastrophic cases (TBI, SCI, amputation, multi-trauma) and has extensive understanding of Life Care Planning as well as the California Workers Compensation System and CAT- UR.

 

She has held Board and Presidency positions for the California Society of PM&R, for the American Spinal Injury Association, for the Brain Injury Association of California, and for the California Society of Industrial Medicine & Surgery. A recipient of the Conciliatory Award from Stanford University Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Miner continues to work with residents at the Stanford PM&R Residency and Pain Fellowship programs. She has held Department Chair positions and continues to serve as the Medical Bioethics Chair at the county affiliate St. Louise Regional Medical Hospital. She mentors high school and college students that are directing their studies toward a career in medicine.
