Paul Odegaard grew up in North Dakota before realizing that Montana’s mountains were slightly more impressive than the Red River Valley. After law school and a clerkship at the North Dakota Supreme Court, Paul spent his early years at Crowley Fleck in Billings defending insureds and insurance companies—an experience he now views as his "rebellious phase" before seeing the light and moving to the other side.
In 2001, Paul joined the Billings firm of Cozzens, Warren & Harris, where he traded his defense cap for the opportunity to advocate for injured Montanans and their families. During this time, he handled a diverse caseload of personal injury, insurance bad faith, and product liability claims and became a regular fixture in the courtroom, trying several cases to verdict.
In 2008, Paul hung a shingle and remained dedicated to helping people navigate the fallout of catastrophic injuries and workplace accidents. Over the last 25 years, he has handled nearly every angle of tort and workers’ compensation claims—defense, plaintiff, and coverage. For the last decade, Paul has been rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell® and selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers® in America. Over the last several years, Paul has increasingly focused his injury practice on claims involving traumatic brain injury.
